Lines of Credit

A line of credit (LOC) mortgage works like a low-interest credit card, and is usually set up as a cheque account. You can purchase most types of homes or investment properties with an LOC loan, and also carry out renovations, pay your bills or invest in shares.

LOC loans are usually paid down with monthly payments, but some let you avoid payments as long as you remain below a set limit.
